R|ReLo 4n: it's friday morn, 10/27 ...

... and some time w/in the next 3 hours (after an 11:30 conference call and departure from villa rosa), i'm officially going to cross (drive through) that sort of imaginary border between socal and nocal (tho' perhaps the border is not imaginary), which happens somewhere after what's known as the central coast (i believe). and apparently, there may be some sort of nocal/socal rivalry ?!

to prepare - gas (for the haul) in my l'il car with lots of last minute stuff from my 10/24 departure from SD ... and a few 10/25 wb shopping trinkets ... and actually some 10/26 spa products ... and perhaps a few CDs from one of my 10/21 gal pals, h!

now on the conference call!

My two cents from having lived in the places mentioned below:

The rivalry is all from the No Cal half. So Cal doesn't care about any rivalry with No Cal. They don't even care about NYC. (They say "It's a fun place but wouldn't want to live there," that's what I've always heard, even from the financial guys I've worked with here.) Where else could you fly your Learjet to 2 miles from your 43,000 Sq Ft home on the marina with views of the mountains, America's Galapagos and sail your yacht around the world. Not too many places, so the So Cal people are ambivalent to any rivalry issues others may have.
