september 2006 ... that's the target!

here is my future pocket door (thanks pat!) that will be part of my future office!

and my future interns (keeping it in the family, perhaps?)

in flight & angst addressed?

i'm up in the bay area on fun & work ... so on my flight back to sd, i'll make a point to talk to a new person ... as a start. and i'll see what compelling reason would ever get it on my punch list. ha!

my friend (uh ... yeah, her ... my friend) has suggested meshing my travel with one of my relo angst items ... and be the guinea pig for this. she has a point. i am already flying back/forth at least once a month, and i expect from july through august, at least 4 more roundtrips.

not so much on my punch list for now.

just figuring how to be better organized to lit'rally jet back and forth and not have to call or text my bud to check on my desk (YIKES!!!) (BTW, we are evolving to be less A-D-D (whatever that means) because of the ReLo activities ... throwing away or packing sh** (aka poopy-crappers).)

back-n-forth on swa

whether for the ReLo, project work, or niece/nephew fun ... i'll have this window view ... and i expect this will be the case over the next 4 mos.
(uh ...along with the confined-space feeling)

moniker happy

yes, i'm moniker happy. it's how i entertain myself (and sometimes others). during this little hiatus from posts ('cuz of work stuff) - a few moniker stories from previous posts -
  • on dating them
  • on dating me?

  • and though no formal monikers, i have noted "RME" - random memorable events - for
  • r|interns ago - last decade

  • i suppose i'll keep in tradition and give them (the interns) some monikers here ...
  • jason = do rag dichotomy
  • cris = cute surfer dude
  • susan = free spirit chick
  • maria = sing-song
  • agnes = red (hair)
  • ryan = sdsu guy (yeah, a bit unoriginal)
  • christina 1 = noxzema gal
  • greg = tall guy
  • laurel = fibonacci

  • enjoy!

sd urban tree - seaweed tree

and another urban tree near the SD bay ...

    seaweed tree
[by steven l. riemen, so says the port of san diego's list of trees and artists. the silver wing-looking features ... they move.]

if in SD, walk the bay and enjoy (with your sunscreen)!

    pee & poo are cute

    THIS
will be a gift to a few folks i know.
    (thanks to pjb forwarding!)

sd urban tree - kelp man

    kelp man

    [part of this]

i found this one interesting ... liked the sense of movement.

if you missed ... a bit about my dating angst. no kelp man on that list.

    j's chip time

i have learned a new term - chip time - which is the specific time that mr. j had for the marathon.

    4:20:25 (awesome!)
(i stand corrected from yesterday's post, which cited his clock time.)

having said that, let's also acknowledge he may have set a fairly decent time for consuming a HUGE BOWL spicy noodles! talented man, he is!

    a dave sandwich

    that would be...
    k, dave, dave, moi

din with friends. forgot to break out the camera out before j left (earlier in the eve to get rested for the annual rock & roll marathon) - which paid off with his time of 4:24:38. congrats J! and thanks to J & K for coming to visit! hugs!

(and see you soon when we're up in no. cal later this year!)

    SD's urban trees 3

trees on one side of the streeturban tree on the other side of the street

[this one - i did not write the name/artist down.
for now, i shall name it "fly swatter tree"
and for which it is one of my favorites!]

san diego, along the bay, has some interesting public art - urban trees. this is the 3rd installment. the first urban trees and urban trees 2 were pretty neat ... as are the recently installed trees.
    i'll throw in a tree-a-day or
    a tree-a-here-or-there,
while the next 2 months will be a bit hectic.
    enjoy and visit the trees!

    uh ... 4th wall misunderstood

    dude, it's not quite that.

fourth wall. concept. no barrier. no counters.
same kind of feeling. but no physical barrier.
    [i stand corrected. and enlightened.]

mike MAG called & now i must clarify ... my sushi-chef-4th-wall-deal is better characterized as the feeling of breaking the fourth wall. the you-belong-over-there-so-why-are-you-here is something all together different. but it's just an unexpected event in the setting, nevertheless.
